Super Saturday 2013!

Super Saturday is

Saturday Oct 19th 10am-2pm

Cafe Rio style lunch will be provided! Money will be due the second Sunday in October to Colleen Mati.

Below are the crafts we will be making this year. If you would like to sign up for them either comment on the post or sign up during church on the sign up sheets right outside of the Relief Society room.

In addition to crafts we are offering a free class:

Menu Planning will be held from 1:00-1:30 by Erin Hartman
We will be discussing different techniques used to plan a menu for your family.

Please sign up for this free class so we know how many will be attending. You can do that by putting your name on the list at church or you can sign up by commenting on this post.

If you are not interested in any of the crafts we are making this year please still come! You can bring your own crafts or just come to chat. If you are planning to attend but have chosen to not sign up for any of the crafts please comment on this post or on the lunch sign up sheet at church so we make sure we have enough food!

Yarn Wreath

Cost: $3.50 for the wreath form (does not include the felt or yarn-see below)

Includes: Wreath form ONLY

Time Commitment: These wreaths take approximately 1.5 hours to complete

Preparation: Please bring yarn and felt in the colors of your choice. To wrap these 14'' wreaths you will need 3/4 skein of yarn and 3 sheets of felt for flowers (as seen in the first wreath- brown with flowers) or other decor. If you are planning on doing the argyle look then bring 5-7 sheets if you would like to also make flowers. There will be several wreath examples for you so you can create your own! If you have questions about what you need please talk to Brenda Brown or Katelyn Graves.

Ordering: Please indicate the number of wreath forms you would like us to purchase. If you are wanting to get a better deal on a wreath form (ex: using a 40% coupon and purchasing it yourself) then you are more than welcome to bring all your own materials and make them along with the rest of us! Just indicate that when signing up for the craft which can be done by commenting on this post or signing up at church on Sunday. *We will provide the super glue for your to add your embellishments*

Pearl Necklace

Cost: $2.75 for child or adult size (child size is pictured)

Includes: Everything you need to make the necklace

Time Commitment: Please give yourself 30-45 min per necklace 

Preparation: If you have an extra set of jewelry making pliers then please bring them with you to put together your necklace! If not, we will have some provided but will be sharing so it might take a little longer. If you want to choose a different ribbon color than we will be providing then you are welcome to bring your own ribbon.

Ordering: Please tell us the number of necklaces you would like to make and indicate what size and what color ribbon you would like to use. You can sign up by commenting on this post or by signing up at church. The following colors of ribbon will be available:
     Purple
     Yellow
     Red
     Pink
     Black
     Brown

Articles of Faith Printables

Cost:$5.50 for the 5x7 set 

Includes: 13 prints (1 print of each of the Articles of Faith)

Time Commitment: If you choose to bring a frame you will just need to put them into the frame

Preparation:Find a frame that will fit the 5x7 prints

Ordering: You may comment on this post or sign up at church.

Holiday Printables

Cost: $3

Includes: The photos ONLY

Time Commitment: If you bring your own frame you will just be taking the time to put them into place

Preparation: Please bring a frame that will fit these 5x7 prints.

Ordering: Please indicate the number of sets you would like. These holiday printables come with 7 prints that you can switch throughout the year. Each set includes all 7.

Maxi Skirt

Cost: This project is bring your own materials!  

Time Commitment: 30-45 min

Preparation: Please purchase and bring the fabric you would like to use for your skirt. You will need 1.5 yards of knit fabric and 1 spool of thread. If you are able to bring a sewing machine please indicate that on the sign up sheet. If you are having trouble picking out fabric contact Jessica Rushforth for help.

Ordering: Please sign up to say that you are going to be in the class so that we will have enough sewing machines available. If you are able to bring a sewing machine please let us know on the sign up sheet. You can sign up by commenting on this post or by signing your name on the paper with the display outside the RS room on Sundays. 

Christmas Letters (Noel & Joy)

Cost: $8 for JOY   or    $10.27 for Noel 

Includes: Everything! The letters, decorative paper, wreath and wreath decor are all included.

Preparation: None

Ordering: Please indicate what word you would like to make and how many sets. You can sign up by commenting on this post or on the sign up sheet at church on Sunday.

Tote Bag

Cost: You will purchase your own supplies for this project so that you can choose your fabric. The estimated cost for the bag is $12 (use 40% off coupons to make it cheaper for yourself)

Preparation: You will need to purchase all of the supplies. You will need:
     1/2 yard quilted fabric
     2 1/2 -3 yards webbing
     1 pkg double fold bias tape
     thread

Ordering: Even though there are no supplies to order we would like you to sign up if you will be doing this project so we can have the right amount of sewing machines available. If you have a machine you can bring please indicate that you are bringing it on the sign up sheet or by commenting on this post.

Pumpkins

Cost: $5

Includes: Everything you need to make one pumpkin

Ordering: Please sign up for how many pumpkins you would like to make as well as what color you would like including matte or glossy finish. You may comment on this post or sign up at church.
